ELLE

Eleonore "Ele" Hansson was born to a Swedish mother and a North African father in 1983. She grew up in a single parent home and had to grow up fast. At the age of 8 she learned how to play violin, which helped develop her musical ear to later on express herself vocally and write songs by playing keys. She always used music as a form of expression and it later on became her therapy while going thru challenges in life such as more or less raising two brothers on her own at an early age and later on in life, the trials of loosing her loved one. Growing up listening to artists like Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Youssou N Dour, Mary J.Blige and Erykah Badu, Ele found the inspiration to become an artist empowering women and inspiring others to pursue their dreams, like her idols inspired her. She started her career as a singer/songwriter in Stockholm, Sweden by singing in various bands, choirs and won several talent shows. She then worked as background singer for artist Ayo, Swing-Fly, Same- E (Medina) and Dee. To find maximum inspiration for her genre of music, Neo soul/r n b/jazz she moved to Los Angeles and attended Musicians Institute where she produced 4 of the tracks on her debut album "She, Her, Ele" on her own. Back in Stockholm, Sweden, Ele recently opened up for artists Papa Dee, Titiyo, September, ADL, Blues, Da Buzz and Linda Sundblad at "Song academy live" at Nalen in May. Shortly after that, she held a release party for her debut album "She, Her, Ele" and host for the celebrity attended event was artist Blues who also performed during the night together with Ele.Sveriges Radio Metropol 93,8 interviewed her the morning after and her song "Free" was aired for the first time. Joachim Stenhammar (A&R for Sony/Bmg, CEO for Top Ten Music) voiced interest in a collaboration with her in the Scandinavian TV program "Hitmakers" on channel 5 where she performed with her song "Who is that man?". In the June issue of the magazine "Rodeo", Ele was described as "a hot candidate to become the new soul diva of Sweden with her jazzy, neo soultry sound." After her release party in May, Ele promoted her album by gigging all over in Stockholm and one of her shows took place at the Clarion Hotel Celebration party for the Sthim Jazz Festival. In her return to L.A in july, Ele teamed up with Ark Entertainment Group and formed a new band and sold out their show at the Blue Cafe i Long Beach. Shortly thereafter, she was interviewed on L.A Talk Radio by Lady J who favorably played 3 of her songs on radio. After months of rehearsing with her new band members and recording in the studio, Titan Radio interviewed her about her success in the states so far and her goals for the future. She is currently working on her second album and will shortly be seen at the upscale restaurant Cherch Lounge in Fullerton, throwing a live show every second week.
